$200 scholarships will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis and are limited in number, so apply now.
Application is easy. After registering and paying for the fascia congress, you must register with the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation to apply for the scholarship. Recipients will receive a $50 credit per night of their stay at the conference hotel, the Sheraton Wall, to a maximum of $200. You must register for the hotel and the Fascia Congress separately, and there are limitations to the numbers of student registrations available. Hotel reservations at the conference rate (starting at $159) must be made by January 15, 2012. After that date, higher hotel rates may apply but scholarships may still be available. Registration links for conference and hotel are at: http://www.fasciacongress.org/2012/
Scholarships are available to a range of participants. Scholarships will be awarded as long as supplies last. If the website allows you to select a category, those scholarships are still available.
MD and DO students. Students, residents and fellows enrolled in a US or international school offering the MD or DO degree, or who are in their residency or fellowship training, are eligible to apply. The Fascia congress will accept student registrations from MD or DO residents and fellows subject to availability. There is additional registration support available for current osteopathic students at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Approximately 25 scholarships are available. Scholarship made possible by Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation, and the Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
Graduate Students with accepted abstracts. Students with an abstract accepted for paper or poster presentation at the fascia congress may apply. Preference will be given to those listed as first author. Approximately 25 scholarships are available. Scholarship made possible by the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
Students and Practitioners of Structural Integration. All International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI) members, practitioners in good standing at a IASI-approved school, or students of a IASI-approved school are eligible to apply. Some schools of structural integration will have a special program for their students and you can register for the fascia congress through your school (details available at www.theiasi.org), but you will still need to register here for the $200 scholarship. Approximately 35 scholarships are available. Scholarships made possible by the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
Fascia research class participants. Special one-day classes on fascia research for clinicians are being offered. In these workshops, Dr. Findley discusses current research and its implications for clinical practice, and prepares attendees to better understand the clinical and scientific presentations at the upcoming fascia congress. Scholarships are available to anyone who attends these classes. You may apply for the fascia congress scholarship once you have registered for the fascia research class.
Scholarship made possible by the Massage Therapists of British Columbia, the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage, and the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
